Says Ken ‘Some years ago I had a life threatening accident. I was under insured, and inappropriately insured. For example, I didn’t have disability cover. If I had lived, but been disabled, I couldn’t have survived financially. If I had died, the insurance would have paid up on my life policy, but there would have been no income for my wife. We had young children who she cared for at the time, so she would have had to sell the house.
'The accident really brought home for me how awful it would have been for my family to be in such an awful financial mess. They are so important to me, so afterwards I made sure I got it sorted’
Family is central to Ken and helping people protect their family is what motivates him.
Ken founded Ken Holmes Financial Services in 2005 and the business has built based on professionalism, and above all, trust.
`We only sell insurance products if I feel I can trust them and their claims people. There has to be a synergy with the way I work and what they offer.’
In 2009 his dedication to an honest approach to insurance was recognised with the AXA adviser of the year award.
Ken has a strong commitment to sponsoring community endeavour and works hard to ensure that his clients are provided with insurance and investment that best suits their needs, aspirations and budget.
