I hear a lot about people losing out because of non-disclosure or ‘pre-existing conditions’. This worries me.
Fully disclose anything you might think is of issue. When you get your medical check or submit your application, make sure that you ask what your obligations are, and then discharge those obligations. I will ensure that you are aware of what you need to disclose and when. If you have any issues, contact me and I’ll help you out as your representative.
How much will your advice cost me?
Nothing. When a client signs an insurance deal, I get paid by the insurer. I’m quite open about this, and you can read my full disclosure statement here
Won’t you then be biased?
Not at all. Fidelity to representing your interests is my main concern. I want to provide a quality product because I believe in it, and if that means telling you that you’re over-insured, or paying too much, then that’s what I’ll do.
Why should I go through a financial adviser? Can’t I just buy insurance direct?
There isn’t as much personalisation with your policy when you haven’t sat down with an adviser and worked out insurance that’s right for you. With my training and experience, I’ll make sure that you have insurance suited to your needs and your means.
If you have an adviser like me, you’ll have a representative and someone to liaise with the insurance company and help you handle claims, large or small.
If you buy Insurance direct, you’ll have to handle claims and insurance on your own. It should be no surprise to hear that when you file a claim, it’s usually under less than desirable circumstances.
How long have you been a Financial Adviser?
Eight years now, and I’m fully certified to advise you on personal investment, KiwiSaver and Insurance.
Where and when do we meet to discuss insurance?
Anywhere, and any time that suits you. I’ll do my best to see you at your convenience wherever you want.
